1996 Australian 6 Coin Proof Set (Sir Henry Parkes)

The obverse of each coin features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Raphael Maklouf.

The reverse of the 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c coins were created by Stuart Devlin, the $2 coin was designed by Horst Hahne, and the $1 coin was designed and sculpted by Wojciech Pietranik.

The proof coins in this set are struck on specially prepared blanks using hand- polished dies. The finished product is a mirror-like flat surface complemented by a delicately frosted raised design.

Once minting is complete, all dies are destroyed.
