2012 Lunar Year of the Dragon $1 AlBr Uncirculated Coin on Card

Since 2007 the Royal Australian Mint has released coins in its Lunar Series to celebarte the Chinese Lunar Years. With a total of 12 years in the cycle, the 2012 coin celebrates the Year of the Dragon.

Those born in the Year of the Dragon are born in 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 and 2012.

The coin design represents a dragon surrounded by Chinese inspired patterns this includes the Year of the Dragon Chinese character, this also appears on the outer packaging.

The coin design is available in an aluminium bronze uncirculated coin, as well as a gold and a silver proof coin.
